PURSUE YOUR DREAM

Have you ever heard the saying ” If you won’t work on your dreams, you will be working on someone else.”

What are “DREAMS?” Is it a succession of images, thoughts, or emotions passing through the mind during sleep or is it a desirable goal that you want to achieve?

My “DREAM” is something I want to achieve and make into a reality. The dream of owning a business and being my own boss. A job that is not a crucial 9-5 hours awaiting to leave in the end of day, but a job that I am passionate about and hours does not matter. A job where I get to design and create. A job that is not a job anymore, but it is something I love and enjoy.

With all that being said, what does it take to make that dream into a reality? What are the sacrifices that you need to make? What are the hardships that you have to go through? However, the question lies if its even worth it in the end.

I am still at first base step of making my dreams into a reality. I am still not there yet. I am still currently on a creating process of what I want to achieve. I do not have a trademark, a logo, or a website for my products. I am far from where I want to be. I am still doing the 9-5 shift in my day job and sometimes more, which means the hours that I miss for my creating process I have to make up for it and there would be at times I have to happily decline to events or friend gatherings, so I can stay at home and work at my craft. I believe this is where the answer lies from the process of making my dreams come true. Is it worth it? Mostly at the time it will be lonely, 5x the hard-work, failures will happen, doubts will creep into mind, and I will hear the “naysayers” that I will not achieve it.

Instead of sleeping, I will be working late at night during my day off until early mornings. There will be tears of frustration and when the light in the end of the tunnel is dim, the answer will be “YES!” There is nothing more satisfying in the world than accomplishing when the odds is against your favor. Success is not something that happened overnight, but a small progress toward a goal…the DREAM. It is a given that it will not be easy, it is a definite sure that I will have sleepless nights and there will be times that I will want to give up and say “FUCK THIS.” It will be those days when the body aches, the desire is low, I will feel tired and weak, but those are the days when champions do it.

With my final conclusion, I will end it with a quote from an individual who is innovative and driven for his voice to be heard and that one day it will happen to me too.

” Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinion drown out your inner voice and most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”
